Museum Night in Bern with Markus Arnold

Tour de Suisse: Together with Markus Arnold in the Food Truck.

Glorious spring weather, numerous visitors and high spirits all around – this year’s 17th edition of Museum Night was a great success. From early evening until 2 a.m., a total of 118,655 visitors made the most of the Museum Night in Bern. Shortly after dusk, many of the almost 40 participating cultural establishments were colourfully illuminated: a magical sight. The various institutions had plenty to offer the diverse crowds of night-time visitors; from the latest exhibitions and performances by a range of artists, to concerts and guided tours, there truly was something for everyone. There was also a wide selection of culinary delights on offer. In the midst of the action was Markus Arnold in our Food Truck.

Markus Arnold, head chef at the Steinhalle restaurant in Bern, is shaking up the capital’s gastronomy scene. In his restaurant, the top chef deliberately breaks with tradition, making the Steinhalle a place that captures the latest trends. With its dynamic atmosphere, delicious food and personal service, a visit to the Steinhalle is a fun-packed experience! He also applied his motto “Gastronomy should be more relaxed” in the Food Truck, demonstrating that simple yet high-quality dishes can be extremely popular. For the many visitors to the Food Truck, Markus Arnold prepared freshly baked leek quiches, finishing off the evening with a divinely aromatic chocolate Gugelhopf. The hungry visitors were amazed by the high quality and unique flavour of the dishes. The fantastic spring weather, the array of performances and the culinary highlights contributed to the terrific atmosphere among the culture enthusiasts. And the smiling faces and excited conversations proved one thing: it was the most wonderful spring night in Bern!
