A warm summer’s evening, great live music and fantastic food. This is exactly what awaited guests at this year’s Regensburg music festival. Anton Schmaus – our brand ambassador in Germany – positioned our food truck in front of the café he opened in 2017 in the castle grounds. And in keeping with the renowned Storstad standard, the food was top notch. Exquisite combi-steam delights were on the food truck menu. These included American rib-eye beef, baked aubergine and tempura prawns, prompting music lovers to stop for a moment and enjoy the food. “The idea was to serve our guests simple yet exciting summer dishes in an uncomplicated atmosphere”, explains Schmaus.
Meticulous preparation was essential, nevertheless. Cooking in a confined space requires proper planning, considered preparation and excellent team work. The decision to drive the travel trailer to Regensburg definitely paid off though. “I really appreciated the straightforward and direct contact with guests”, gushes our ambassador even now. With this experience under his belt and encouraged by all the enthusiastic faces and scintillating conversations over the food truck counter, Anton is already making plans for 2019. He’s keeping his combi-steam ideas for the next festival close to his chest for now, but he’s already certain that we’re going to be tantalizing the taste buds once again.
