Young, ambitious and dedicated: Joe Schofield is currently revolutionizing cocktail culture. Schofield is a true cosmopolitan and has worked in top bars across the world. As the first non-chef ambassador he has great plans: working with V-ZUG to achieve a closer alliance between the kitchen and the bar.

Joe Schofield joined the V-ZUG family at the beginning of 2020. What makes the relationship unique is the fact that Schofield is the first brand ambassador who isn’t a top chef. As an internationally acclaimed, award-winning bartender who has experience of working in bars all over the world, he is the perfect partner for V-ZUG.

When he creates a drink it’s more like a work of art, which is not entirely surprising as Joe Schofield studied art before embarking on his career as a bartender. After university, he worked in bars all over the world before finally teaming up with top chef Ryan Clift at the Tippling Club in Singapore. Born in England, Schofield is a true cosmopolitan, despite having just put his name to a new dry vermouth derived from English botanicals and grapes. Not only is he revolutionizing cocktail culture, his creations also perfectly complement Ryan Clift’s avant-garde cuisine. As part of their “Sensorium” project, the two of them offer a symbiosis of award-winning cuisine and first-class cocktails. Joe’s ambition? Propel the alliance between fine dining and bar creations to a completely new level.

In 2018, Schofield was crowned International Bartender of the Year at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, and shortly after that his skills were lauded in The Worlds 50 Best Bars 2018 where he was recognized as Bartender’s Bartender. He is the first person in history to win the industry’s two most prestigious awards. And there isn’t long to wait for his next project: in 2020, he and his brother will be opening SCHOFIELD’S BAR in their home town of Manchester.

Schofield has co-written the book “SCHOFIELD’S Fine and Classic Cocktails” with his brother and will be creating V-ZUG’s first-ever drinks recipes. You can expect a unique selection of cocktails – shaken and stirred with plenty of passion and creativity – as well as some innovative bartending tips. Schofield and V-ZUG have some exciting projects and events coming up: the Eurocucina international kitchen trade fair in Milan, lots of interesting stories on social media about his life as a bartender, and a whole host of events at which guests will be able to sample his delicious creations for themselves.
