Tee off for a good cause

On the golf course with Andreas Caminada

There is hardly anything that connects people more than good food and team sports. That’s what Andreas Caminada thought when he had the idea at the beginning of this year to bring all his partners closer together in the form of an event. It is therefore not surprising that with the “Andreas Caminada Golf Masters” he decided on a golf tournament with culinary accompaniment. And what could be better than doing something good with an event? Part of the proceeds from the event, thanks to the entry fees and the auction at the dinner, went directly to the Uccelin Foundation. This foundation – founded by Andreas Caminada himself – has set itself the task of offering chefs and service professionals from all over the world the opportunity to continue their education so that they can represent the quality of Swiss top gastronomy or spread it to the world.

Foggy, almost mystical and a cool 11 degrees – it was an autumnal start to the day. However, this changed after a short time and the day turned out to be beautiful: the sun was shining and the ambience on the golf course was breathtaking. After a morning refreshment of freshly brewed coffee and crispy croissants from the V-ZUG food truck, the teams got ready for the first tee-offs on the golf course. In addition to the sport, there was also plenty of room for culinary delights and enjoyment. Three different IGNIV Bad Ragaz snack bars awaited the guests on the golf course. After a few tee-offs, the guests were treated to a delicious starter at the first stopover. The next stop surprised with a refreshing drink and a fruity snack. A few holes further on, the last pop-up location presented the successful main course. At the end of the tournament, all participants met again at the V-ZUG Food Truck for an aperitif. After a day of sport, it was then time for enjoyment. The joint dinner – presented by Andreas Caminada and his team from Schauenstein Castle – rounded off the successful day perfectly. Parallel to the dinner, the auction took place, the proceeds of which also went to the Uccelin Foundation. We are pleased that we were able to provide additional support for the foundation by auctioning off a V-ZUG Food Truck event, thus making a contribution to a successful future for the catering industry.
