The best temperature at which to store and drink wine is largely a matter of personal preference. At home, I keep my WineCooler set to 11 °C. I mainly use it to age wine slowly, even though that could mean drinking a red at too low a temperature if I decide to open a bottle on the spur of the moment. If you enjoy a spontaneous bottle of red, you won’t go far wrong if you keep your reds at 14-15 °C and your whites at 6-8 °C.
