I first came upon this word on a trip to Japan and I immediately fell in love with it! It is a Japanese business term that means “continuous improvement” or “a change for the better”. I consider it a personal mantra, and I continue to apply this to everything I do. It is very easy for a bartender or a chef to be satisfied or happy with their creation and their recipe.
