At the legendary ‘Gupf’ hotel and restaurant in Rehetobel, at an altitude of 1083 metres, passionate host Walter Klose serves up both classic and traditional food – best enjoyed with a bottle from the exceptional wine cellar. Together with his wife Manuela, the new brand ambassador for V-ZUG has created an idyllic retreat for gourmets which has earned a legendary reputation since the couple first moved to the Appenzell hilltop in 2003. They serve meat from their own farm and high-quality seafood, while Klose also promotes home-style cooking and culinary tradition.
