Tanja Grandits: new cookbook

Following the success of her multiple award-winning bestseller “Tanjas Kochbuch”, Switzerland’s number one chef is raising the stakes: her new book, “Tanja vegetarisch”, is set to be published on 5 November 2020 and contains recipes that the head chef of Stucki restaurant in Basel cooks at home for herself and her daughter Emma. “I find it much easier to create vegetarian recipes than anything else”, says Grandits. And indeed, the creation of each new menu at Stucki begins with the question of which vegetables are currently or will soon be in season. Here she reveals why she didn’t cook fish or meat at home for several years, and how she was persuaded to publish a new cookbook despite the challenges she faces as the incumbent Chef of the Year.
